Work Report 200
July 2024 – April 2025
“Public Market Development: Steel Generator Design” is my first work term report written about a project I worked on while at Entuitive in Toronto during my Summer 2023 term. As an intern with the Structural Restoration group, I worked on several forensics/renewal projects, but I also had the opportunity to contribute to new build projects.
This is a report about a new build project I assisted on where I designed a rooftop generator enclosure for a laboratory tower (also part of a prominent public market). As the project was located in California, additional seismic checks had to be implemented. Girder spacing was designed based on the prescribed panel size. Also, in addition to sizing the steel HSS elements of the enclosure, I also designed the base plates.
