Warrior Home

This project was designed by Warrior Home for the US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon’s 2023 Design Challenge. In partnership with the Kitchener Urban Native Wigwam Project (KUNWP), a family home was designed to house an indigenous family. This home was to be built on a property acquired by KUNWP and would replace an outdated 1940s home. The house would be constructed using prefab techniques and would include 3–4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
As Structural Lead, I analyzed the framing of the prefab panels provided by Quantum Passivhaus. I also managed the design of the prefab wood trusses for the roof, and delegated tasks associated with the foundation design, which involved pouring the concrete into an EPS bathtub.
